RAINBOW FAMILIES | STORIES
Giuseppina and Raphaelle
Giuseppina, ex-president of Famiglie Arcobaleno (an association that brings together Italian gay and lesbian families and fights for their rights), and Raphaelle have been living together for 31 years, since high school. They are French but for the past 23 years they have lived in Italy, where they both teach French at the university. In 2000, they signed the APCS (acronym for a civil union pact in France) at the French Consulate in Naples. They have a 10-years-old daughter, Lisa Marie, conceived in Belgium through IVF (in vitro fecundation) after three years of travels and failed attempts. In August 2012 Andrea their second child, was born. They married in 2013 in France, where their family union, also regarding their children, is fully recognized.
